Year 10 Double Champions!!

Congratulations to the Year 10 Football Team on their victory in the Liverpool Cup Final vs. Childwall Sports College and the shared success in the Merseyside cup  against Cardinal Heenan!

Match Summaries

The year 10 football team emulated the year 7 team by also doing the Merseyside and Liverpool cup double.  The Merseyside cup ended up 0 - 0 after 70 minutes and with no winner after extra time, the plate was shared between ourselves and Cardinal Heenan. The extreme windy weather played havoc with the standard of football and a draw was a fair result for both teams. Man of the match was the captian Jack Lunt.

The Liverpool cup was a convincing 3 - 0 win against another sports college, Childwall. Goals came from Liam Davis with a beautifully finished left foot drive from a counter attacking move. The first and final goals were scored by the man of the match, Ste Clarke, with a glorious left footed drive from the edge of the box and an absolute screamer with his right foot into the top corner for his brace! With the weather conditions more favourable than the Merseyside final, the boys could express their true quality. Well done and thank you for a truly memorable season! Mr Jones
