Cambridge University

On Wednesday July 6th eight of our sixth-formers travelled to Cambridge for the open day of the many colleges of the University (the ones you see on University Challenge.)

They attended lectures for various subjects and were given a talk on how to apply to study there. They stayed in the halls of residence in Magdelene College overnight and in their spare time explored the town and went punting on the River Cam. It was from this journey along the river that the best views could be found of the grand college buildings, most of which were built on the orders of Henry VIII.

The boys returned on Thursday evening having thoroughly enjoyed the trip and contemplating applying to go there after their A Levels. All they need now is a few A grades in their exams.
